On 11 October 2021, the Real Property Amendment (Certificates of Title) Act 2021 commenced, which abolished the Certificates of Title (CTs) and the control of the right to deal (CoRD) framework. All existing CTs have been cancelled and CTs will no longer be issued. Existing CTs will not need to be produced, and CoRD holder consent will not be required, for a dealing or plan to be registered. All existing Guidelines subject to this change are currently being reviewed and will be updated to reflect these changes. Note: Any existing Order of a court does not prevent recording of the order giving effect to a strata renewal plan. 

(B) The reference to title for the common property of the Strata Scheme and for each lot in the Strata scheme must be stated.

(E) The applicant must be the Owners Corporation and must be identified as 'The Owners - Strata Plan No. [registered number of the Strata plan].

(F) A short description of the nature of the request must be given, e.g. Request to record Order of Land and Environment Court giving effect to a strata renewal plan pursuant to section 183 Strata Schemes Development Act 2015.

(G) Full details of the request must be provided, e.g. The applicant requests the Registrar-General to record on the abovementioned folios of the Register the Order of the Land and Environment Court giving effect to a Strata Renewal Plan pursuant to section 183(3) Strata Schemes Development Act 2015

A sealed copy of the Order of the Land and Environment Court must be annexed to the Request.

(H) The dealing must be executed by the applicant Owners Corporation. Execution must take the form as set out in Strata Schemes Approved Form 23
