Areas must be calculated from the information in the plan and should not be derived from an approximate or rounded out imperial area shown in a prior plan. The area shown for a parcel(s) in a compiled plan must close to acceptable standards vide clause 26 (3) Surveying and Spatial Regulation 2012. If these standards are not met then a plan of survey or a comprehensive report explaining the discrepancy will be required. Where areas are deducted, they should be shown thus: 'Area'........(by dedn).
Note Plans that comply with these requirements do not require prior written approval of the Plan and Title Advisor.
